Design and Build

Design and Build

Quality Cowin E7 Wireless Headphones are designed to be very sleek, durable, and foldable to suit your bag. The headphone is also quite ergonomic with an angled headband design. You can fold it up into a compact design or fold it into a flat design that is perfect for packing.

The Cowin E7’s solid build quality is plastic. Indeed, this helped decrease the price, but appearance-wise, it’s not very appealing. The rubberized texture on the earcups is a nice touch, though.

We’re not saying this headset is ugly, but it feels a bit cheap compared to other headsets with brushed aluminum and wood. If you’re looking for more stylish headphones, we recommend checking out some of our other recommendations.

The faux leather earpads and headbands for both the Cowin E7 are made of soft faux leather for super comfy thanks to it. Users can adjust the headband to be able to make the headphones fit correctly on their heads.

There are two indicators on the earpieces: one on each side.

You will find the on/off button on the right ear cup, as well as an aux jack. The charging port can be located on the left side. Cowin E7 noise canceling headphones are equipped with a 40mm driver aperture.

Moreover, their pivoting earcups allow a perfect positioning, and the 90-degree rotating system enables their earcups to lay flat when carrying them around the neck

The Cowin E7 headphones’ button layout is a little cramped. They are all located in the same place, which is a shame considering they had plenty of room. It is possible to accidentally press the wrong buttons, which can be annoying for some.

It is only 10.6 oz, and that ups the comfort factor. You won’t be worried about your head or ears getting hurt after an extended listening experience.

I love that this headset has a built-in mic so you can answer phone calls without removing it from your ear.

The headband is flexible, but it is made of cloth, making it feel like it will wear out quickly.

You’ll also find a small drawstring pouch containing two cables, one micro USB for charging, and a 3.5mm TRS for a wired connection. Also included are a quarter-inch adapter and another USB adapter for airplanes, which is notable in how valuable noise-canceling headphones are on airplanes.

Comfort

The Cowin E7 noise canceling headphones are very comfortable for me. They don’t press on my ears like the other headphones I’ve used, which is essential when wearing them for long periods.

The earpads are lightly padded, and the headband is flexible, which means it doesn’t press on your head like many other headphones.

These headphones are lightweight and have soft padding for the headband and earcups. This reduces the clamping effect these headphones can cause on some listeners.

While the headband may feel a bit tight on the head because the headband is relatively short.

Controls and Functionality

The Cowin E7 has a built-in micro USB charging cable, making it easy to answer phone calls while listening to music. The headphones have a great sound quality and excellent noise isolation.

The design of the ear pads is comfortable, but they’re not very durable. Although the Cowin E7 noise canceling headphones look bulky, it’s still lightweight and easy to carry around. It folds easily for storage.

On the other hand, the cramped layout and the odd placement of the volume controls aren’t as intuitive and may take some time to get used to.

Portability

The E7 Bluetooth headphones are not portable. These headphones are quite large and can’t be folded up for space. They can be laid flat, which makes them more comfortable for wearing around the neck.

Stability

The E7 over ear headphones are a very stable enough fit. They are lightweight, have good padding on the earpads, and have an anti-tangle design. The earcups are angled slightly, so they sit comfortably against the head, which makes them ideal for long listening sessions.

Frequency Response

The Cowin E7 has a frequency response of 20 – 20,000 Hz. It has a very flat frequency that is perfect for studio monitoring and editing. It is also relatively flat, which gives you an excellent level of detail in your sound quality.

It can handle a peak power output of 500 watts and continuous power output of 100 watts. Its peak power output is excellent for most headphones under 600 ohms. It is very capable of powering high impedance over ear headphones without a hitch.

Overall, the Cowin E7 has a very flat frequency. Its ability to handle high output power gives you the option of using higher impedance headphones without worrying about damaging your speakers or headphones.

Bass Accuracy

The Cowin E7 has an excellent bass accuracy rating. It has a Bass Q of 0.13 and a Low Pass filter of 36Hz. Low End, The Low Pass filter will only affect frequencies below 36Hz so that you will have an accurate representation of the bass of your audio quality source.

Mid Accuracy

Mid-range accuracy is poor. The low-mid is too loud, which makes vocal ranges and lead instruments sound thick and muddy. The presence and projection of the lead agency are affected by the 2kHz dip.

This dip results from the EQ applied to make up for the low-frequency content above 15Hz. On tracks with no low frequencies (like most electronic music), the dip is more prominent, but the general lack of clarity in this band of frequencies will still give your ears an accurate representation of sound quality.

Treble Accuracy

The Cowin E7 Bluetooth-enabled devices have poor treble accuracy. The overall response can be inconsistent, which could lead to an uneven treble. Low-treble is a problem that can negatively impact the vocals and the articulation of lead instruments.

The mid-treble is also not well stressed, resulting in a treble tone that is slightly lower than neutral and a brightness that is just below neutral.

Noise Isolation

Noise Isolation

The Cowin E7 has amazing sound noise isolation, but not the best. It is particularly susceptible to loud pop or clicks that will come from your phone or MP3 player.

The active noise cancelling system achieves about 8dB of reduction in the Bass Range, below average. The sound quality is very much like the wireless version, and there is not much difference in noise cancellation except for a touch more bass.

The improvement is primarily due to better noise cancellation provided by the earcups, which seal out enough ambient noise. However, the active noise cancelling is still less than average and does not provide enough noise-canceling even in an airplane cabin noise or city traffic, or a busy office.

In the upper mids and treble ranges, occupied mainly by speech, these active noise cancelling wireless headphones isolate passively using their ear cups, achieving 13dB and 33dB of reduction in the middle and treble ranges, respectively.

The E7 active noise cancellation wireless headphone has a linear frequency response with a peak at 4.5kHz and an excellent sound quality suppression level of -93dB, roughly the same as most portable Bluetooth active noise cancelling wireless headphones.

Battery Life

Like most ANC technology headphones, the Cowin E7 Bluetooth headphones have a longer battery life of about 26 hours (hours of playtime on a single charge). The battery life is removable and will be easily charged via USB.

They are long lasting battery life and have a long charging time. They can play 45 minutes from a 10-minute charge, but you need to keep them plugged in for at least 3 hours before they fully charge. This is not ideal. They can also be used passively while they charge.

Customer Feedbacks

“The E7 headphones block background noise well for commuting and do not leak much for quieter settings like being at the office. You can use them in a noisy environment, and they do a good job of blocking external noise, although the added isolation makes them a little less comfortable fit for most people. Sonically, they’re very punchy for this type of headphone.

They have a massive bass response with perfect extension to the sound-bass. The mid-range is also nice and full, so you can hear all the vocals clearly without any overbearing bass muddying them up. They have a sub-par sound that will not be ideal for critical listening and may even sound too dark for more casual listeners ( best value headphone)”

“The treble is also very smooth, an easy pairing which adds to the overall naturalness of the sound quality. If you’re looking for a headphone that won’t try to accentuate your music with overly bright upper-midrange frequencies, the E7 noise cancelling headphones are a pretty good bet. As a consumer headphone, they’re affordable pair of headphones.”

Conclusion

Casual listeners can also use these over-ear headphones. They will love the high-quality sound they produce. Some minor imperfections may be a problem for those who are looking for better sound quality. We hope that our Cowin e7 review can help you learn more about this device and making the right decision when purchasing new headphones.
