It has many features that can be found in more expensive models and it is definitely one of the best you can find at an affordable price.

Can’t wait to learn more information about this product? Let’s start reading our Pioneer TS-WX1210A Review.

Overview

Pioneer’s TSWX1210A, a powered car subwoofer, comes with a 12-inch subwoofer as well as an amp to drive it. Although it’s not the most miniature self-powered car subwoofer system, the package is designed to produce powerful bass even in tight spaces.

The TS-WX1210A is an excellent value for money, with a built-in amp that can output 1,300 watts during peak bursts and 350 watts continuously.

Pros

  • Great value
  • Installation is simple
  • Solid bass

Cons

  • It doesn’t appear that rated wattage numbers are equivalent to real-world performance.
  • A single 20a fuse, ground, and power wires are not suitable for a product that claims to produce 350 watts RMS.
  • Installation is made easy by the absence of wire nuts and barrel crimp connectors.

Pioneer TS-WX1210A Review

Although this product is not intended for high-SPL (sound pressure levels), it does punch a little beyond its price point if you remove the amp’s somewhat bloated power output specs.

The controls can be set to user-adjustable settings, including an LPF, phase control, and variable bass boost (0 to 12dB, 40Hz – 100Hz), with an input level that can either be adjusted via the wired remote control knob or the input gain control located on the enclosure’s side panels.

Pioneer also designed the trapezoid box shape mentioned above to increase installation flexibility and rigidity.

Pioneer designed its self-powered subwoofer system, such as the TSWX1210A, with high-sensitivity woofers that are optimized for small enclosures.

The enclosure can be placed in any vehicle’s cabin or under the seats. The box itself can be moved so that it fires upwards, backward, or frontwards for the best bass tuning.

The enclosure has a carpeted finish, making it non-slip, durable, and scratch-resistant. This is ideal for mobile environments.

We are proud to recommend the TS-WX1210A from a value perspective at a reasonable price. It was one of our Top best car subwoofers for under $200.

Pioneer’s limit on power input at 13.4 volts is the biggest problem this product faces. This equates to one-third of the internal amplifier’s RMS power rating.
