Who is the Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 for?

They are IP57-certified so that they can withstand dusty conditions and complete immersion.
Plantronics Wireless Earbuds Review: Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100
The elliptical charging box has a soft matte finish. It also features an unprotected micro USB input at the back.
Two precise cut-outs for earbuds are housed in a textured, textured material. The charging case has a rectangular button and four LEDs that indicate how much battery is left.
The ear canal is made of flexible silicone and has the same cross-hatched design as the carrying case.
Although the included silicone ear hooks are designed to promote safety and allow ambient sound, this can severely reduce audio quality due to a lack of isolation that results in auditory masking.
Both in-ear headphones have holographic panels, but only one is touch capacitive. Listeners can touch the left earbud to adjust the maximum volume or hold the button to reduce it.
At the same time, the right earbud is not a touch panel but allows listeners to control their playback and phone calls.
Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 has auto-on/off tap functions. This allows you to remove and place the earbuds into the charging case, activating and deactivating them, respectively.
However, most of the time, the earbuds stay connected to my device even after returning them to the charging case.
The Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 true wireless earbuds come with a zippered 740mAh charging case and a micro USB cable.
It is disappointing that the package does not include a spare set of Plantronics ear tips, especially considering its price.
Fit and Comfort
The BackBeat Fit3100 Bluetooth earbuds don’t fit into your ear canal like other wire-free Bluetooth sports earbuds. Each bud wraps around the ear with a tip that fits inside the ear canal.
Plantronics does not offer a variety of ear tips sizes because the earbuds allow ambient noise to enter. This may be a problem for some, but we’ll get to that later.
It took some time to get used to because other completely cordless earphones can be customized for a sealed fit. After a few days, I found the wireless headphones to be comfortable.
It was a bonus to have the security of the ear hooks around my ears. Other headphones can be a bit uncomfortable. I worry about them falling out when outdoor running or tucking my hair behind mine. The BackBeat Fit 3100 didn’t have that problem.
They are easy to use, have great battery life, and have a clear crisp sound.
The earbuds’ battery life was 3.72 hours, suitable for true wireless but less than Plantronics’ 5-hour playback time. Listeners can enjoy one hour of playback after a quick 15-minute charge.
The 740mAh case also provides two additional charge cycles for the earbuds. After that, you will need to connect the micro USB cable, which is comically tiny.
Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 true wireless earbuds work via Bluetooth 5.0. However, the connection reliability is not as good as I have come to expect from Plantronics.
One earbud will phase in and out outside, whether in an open space or a crowded intersection. Although the connection did not drop to the point that it was necessary for manual reconnecting, it is still annoying.
This is because most people 1) ignore audio quality while working out and 2) can’t distinguish between streaming quality.
The buds can be worn with virtually any background noise due to their seal-less ear tips. The BackBeat Fit 3100 true wireless earbuds emphasize bass notes to compensate for external auditory masking.
However, it isn’t easy to hear treble sounds. This sound signature is not neutral, but it is an excellent example of why a flat frequency response isn’t always the best.
While I won’t analyze the vocal tenor of a singer singing, I want to feel and hear the beat when I’m working out.
- Lows, mids, and highs
The G-A-D chord progression can be heard over the drum hits during the Sam Smith song Money On My Mind’s pre-chorus. As shown in the frequency chart above, I must push the Plantronics Backbeat Fit 3100 earbuds into the ears to create a temporary seal to hear the bass response.
This works in a way, but no one will be holding the earbuds to his ear canals for good sound quality.
Keep in mind that the Plantronics backbeat Fit 3100 true wireless earbuds were designed for athletes and not audiophiles. For running, cycling, swimming, or swimming, durability and a secure fit are essential.
Hayley Kiyoko’s Wild & Wicked World features various instruments and clapping that create a sense of urgency and rebellion.
The drum beats make it hard to hear the clapping, and even the cymbals can be heard above Kiyoko’s voice.
The repeated A chord played from the piano during verses of the song is the most distinct sound.
The Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 earbuds are IP57 certified, making them almost indestructible. The ear canal shape of these earbuds means that water can still seep into your ears if you swim with them, while the malleable ear hooks promote a secure, comfortable fit
These Plantronics Backbeat Fit 3100 true wireless headphones are also fabulous for running outdoors. They fit better than bone conduction headphones and offer a safer experience.
The left earbud’s touch panel is responsive to sweaty fingers. I can also use the comprehensive controls to stay focused on my workouts and not return to my phone to skim a track.
The eartips make these Plantronics Backbeat Fit 3100 earbuds less stable than they should. This is my main complaint.
The integrated MEMs microphone technology and a dedicated digital signal processing (DSP) make the microphone perform better than expected.
People on the other end of phone calls heard me clearly and were not distracted by background noise like light chatter. However, the headset was not suitable for use in windy conditions.
Should you buy the Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100?
Plantronics BackBeat FIT 3100 are wireless earbuds that are worth the price. This model of Plantronics true wireless earbuds is designed explicitly for fitness purposes, which means they are sweat-resistant and wireless.
The battery life lasts up to 8 hours of continuous use, which is impressive considering wireless. The Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3100 earbuds are the best wireless earbuds under $100.
If you are looking for an earbud that does not compromise sound quality or comfort, the Plantronics BackBeat FIT 3100 is a good choice.
I suggest purchasing this Plantronics Backbeat model if you are looking for a pair of wireless earbuds that are both sweat-resistant and provide you with all the essentials.
